Dev Diary: Website redesign

You may not have noticed, but we’ve been slowly rolling out our website redesign over the past month.

Welcome Page

We’ve been creating a new website design based on feedback we got from fans like you. We wanted the site to be simple to understand and interesting for both gamebook fans and those new to the genre (after all, what we really want to do is share the love with others!).

Our intern Jessica is putting some finishing touches on the layout, but you can already see many of the changes if you take a peek. It’s still rough around the edges and we may have a designer take a look at it.

We’re also adding a storefront to Adventure Cow, so you can see all the information about DestinyQuest Infinite right there without having to go to the website at all (though you should anyway! We worked hard on it). That’s being redesigned as you read this. It’s not much to look at yet. We haven’t even replaced the placeholder screenshots:

Otherwise we’re still picking at bugs, whittling them down little by little. We finally beat that “dice freeze on 5” bug. Turns out that wasn’t the problem at all. The real problem was that the animation wasn’t showing correctly whenever the combat dice rolled a 5, making it look frozen for a few seconds. Guess Yuliya can stop blaming the “bug” on her opponents’ extremely lucky rolls now.

DestinyQuest
DestinyQuest Infinite is the first in the QuestForge Games, a new line of gamebooks.
