Dev Diary: Thank you, testers

It’s been a great month thanks to all of you! We were thrilled to get so many responses to our call for game testers. We’ve used tester feedback to prioritize our list of user experience issues.

We’ve also learned a thing or two about UX in general through the making of DQI. When you spend so much time with a product it’s easy to forget how someone would see it for the first time. We put much of our effort into the technical aspect of the game, and now that we were ready to tackle the list of UX suggestions, frankly, we weren’t sure where to start.

Testing with all of you gave us a chance to see our game as a new player would. We heard a few comments multiple times, and we’ve used this feedback to organize our UX issues. Now it’s just a matter of applying the changes, running through things one last time, and shipping it off to you.
